2004 Belgian Beer Fest Report Coming Soon

What a weekend! As we expected, the 2004 Belgian Beer Fest was well-worth a return trip to Boston.

The Alström brothers, pictured below, run perhaps the best online community for anything beer related: www.beeradvocate.com. It’s obvious the brothers are serious about beer: the site is a wonderful beer resource, and has given them the platform to also stage three beer fests each year. In January, we attended their Extreme Beer Fest, dedicated to high gravity beers (anything north of 6% alcohol). As you can see from the Extreme Beer Fest photos, these fests are almost guaranteed fun. I’ll be posting a longer report of this trip in the next day or two.

Now, if I could only “Respect Beer” enough to keep my mouth shut when the camera is going off, we’d be in business!

One more thing:
I have to give a huge shout out to Seth, Liz and the folks at Harpoon Brewery for their hospitality during the fest. With people like that on the Harpoon team, it’s no wonder that brewery is doing as well as it is!
