It’s that time of year again — the Peach State Brew Off entry deadline has come and gone. While I won’t be trying to defend my win in the English Ales category last year, I have entered four beers for feedback:
> an Imperial Stout brewed last May
> a Belgian Pale Ale modeled after Orval
> a very dry Saison, and
> an IPA made with a boatload of centennial and amarillo hops (including 1 oz for dry hopping)
I think the Imperial Stout and IPA have a good shot at placing. The one I am most curious about is the Saison…it is a less-known style here in the US, and the number of commerical examples available here is somewhat small. I’ll post the results when they come in.

The Marzen and Bock that Sean and I brewed back in January are slowing working their way to keg readiness. When we tasted them two weeks ago, they seemed smooth, malty and ready for consumption. i can’t wait to get it on tap.
