With a 300 beer list and some conscientious owner/publicans, this is a must see stop on any beer lover’s itinerary to Belgium. You’ll find it tucked in a smallish alley way off the Simon Stevin Plein.
Say Hi to Daisy when you get here.

Served with a few cubes of Emmentaler cheese as an accompaniment, this slightly spicy brew is very tasty.

Here we have one of the typical Belgian meals — mussels with fries.
There are many different ways to prepare them, but the “natural” method uses celery, scallions, leeks, and other spices and the mussels steamed in an herb broth.
The pot is usually presented with a bowled cover that turns over to hold all of the spent mussel shells.
