Ready for some cold (and) beer

Tomorrow I am embarking on a nearly 4,000 mile journey to Anchorage, Alaska to attend my first fest of 2006.

For your consideration, Exhibit A:

Although there is no official site for the event, the past accounts I’ve seen around the web tell me this one will be worth the 20 hours of round trip flight to attend.

And as usual, I will be summoning all of my super beer geek tools to capture the event here, as it happens. The potential weak link in the whole publishing operation is the outside chance that T-Mobile’s promised roaming roaming coverage in Alaska will not work. If that is the case, then I’ll be batch uploading periodically from wireless hotspots via my laptop.

Either way I hope to learn about our 49th state and about some of the great brewers whose products we rarely see in the lower 48 (and definitely not in Georgia). I hope you enjoy following along at home.
