Beer hunting in our nation’s capital

Andrea and I decided to take a day trip to Washington DC today to see the Air and Space Museum.

Of course I couldn’t let the chance to tick another state off the “50 Breweries in 50 States” list that I am working to complete. (Yes, DC is technically only a district, but you can’t complete a list like this without the capital in it. I’m not sure how to treat territories and protectorates like Puerto Rico and the Federated States of Micronesia, though.)

Our lunch and beverage supplier today is the Capitol City Brewing Company. I am having their Gold Medal winning amber (with loads of Yakima valley hops) with my lunch, and Andrea is trying the kolsch with her chili.

Consider this one added — 20 states and counting!
