Step 1: The tourist card

Step 1: The tourist card

We’re at the gate waiting for our flight, and heard a message for buying a tourist card.

Apparently, all non-residents have to pony up a Lincoln to enter the country. And with a tamper-proof holographic state seal, this is not some bootleg fake.

Andrea has been lusting after a digital SLR for a few months now. Since she shoots with Canon equipment, we stepped up and bought a Canon 20D.

It’s an 8.2 megapixel unit that is compatible with all her existing lenses, and should make documenting the Panamanian excursion more interesting.

I just hope I’ll get to use it once in a while!

72 hours until Spring Break!

Operation R+R is complete

Operation R+R is complete

We survived the long night of *bad* karaoke and 5 Euro lagers. We even managed to stay hydrated enough to avoid any hangovers. But as much fun as it has been, we have to break up the band today.

Matt is heading out to Luxembourg this morning, to see his friend from work. He’ll be traveling by train, through the corner of France before getting to the Grand Duchy.

As for me, I am going to the airport for my flight home. We’ll see what the airport beer scene looks like when we get there.

We had a great time, and did some long-needed catching up — it’s just funny that it happened in Germany.
