Stomp and Chomp 2006: Beer, Chili and Bluegrass

Patty Jo is in town this weekend, and we’re on the hook for a little entertaining. Lucky for us, this is Chomp and Stomp weekend!

This neighborhood festival celebrates a few of the things that make Cabbagetown so unique. It’s in an old neighborhood in the shadows of the old Fulton Cotton Mill — with houses built by the company for millworkers. This close-knit ‘hood is a funky place where artists, hipsters and long-time residents mingle with ease.

Today’s focus: eat some chili and drink some Sweetwater. These two are washing their chili down with Blue, their blueberry ale. I’m working a 420.

After noting there is a pro *and* amateur division in the chili cookoff, don’t be surprised to see a Laughing Ass entry sometime in the future.
