Hey Sean: Nice Bag (of hops)

We just spent over an hour storing our hop stash in vacuum sealed bags — right at 10 lbs. total. We had so much to store in fact, that we burned through an entire roll of sealer bags. When all the math is done, our average spend per ounce is $.33.

The bags that are covering the countertop also filled the entire freezer drawer. It is stuffed full.

Damn, we’ve gotta make some beer.

Hops Direct did us right!

When we need hops, we shop at one place:

Why? This photo should illustrate our love for their way of doing business. When I ordered 5 1lb. bags of hops — a bargain at $38 plus shipping — I was at first surprised at the 13 pound shipping weight (and fees).

But when they sent this *13* pound box full of hops, our surprise turned to worry about having enough freezer space.

We now have almost 3 lbs. of Chinook, and well over 2 lbs. of Tettnanger, Centennial, and Vanguard. Our bag of Liberty got “short shrift” at only 1.4 lbs.

Sean and I better get out the vacuum sealer, and get to brewing. Stat.
