Fueling up at Standard

Andrea and I are done with our Saturday shopping run, and are trying a relatively new crib on Memorial Drive — Standard.

It’s built in an old filling station building (presumably a former Standard Oil location?) that has been rehabbed into a bar/lounge/restaurant. It’s only a couple of blocks from Six Feet Under, so a solid backup if not a potential new fave.

The beer list is pretty well done. The only local tap is a Terrapin offering — Wake and Bake Coffee Stout — but also features Stella, Hoegaarden, Leffe Blond, Rogue Nut Brown and PBR (for the ladies).

For the record, the flank steak ‘wich rules.
