We started pretty strong — no walking for the first mile, and we were enjoying ourselves.
Then during our first walking break, a small girl went running by. We knew we had to step up the pace.
So we’d run a bit, and walk a bit, all the while never quite pulling away from her.
In the end, as we approached the Olympic Stadium finish line, this 8 year-old Finnish girl pulled away and beat us by 200 meters.
Does that mean we are getting old?

Hey, it means you finished. So far all I’ve managed to do this Saturday is walk to the kitchen. So you and the Finnish girl have both kicked my ass.
Looks like you’re having fun.
Happy Anniversary to You, Happy Anniversary to you….La, La,La…
I’m singing, can you tell?
You guys really know how to celebrate your 11 wonderful years.
You “begun” it and you “finished” it! That in itself tells a lot
about how you’ve committed to your marriage and to each other.
You little cherubs always warm my heart! Have a great
week-end.
Lovies,
Mom
Happy Anniversary! Who cares who beat you as long as you had fun!
Just think you have been married longer than that little girl has
alive. I don’t know what that has to do with anything. But anyways
congratulations on 11 years of great love, teamwork, commitment,
and humor- can’t forget the humor!

Wow - beat like a little girl, just like on the playground, huh, Patrick? Did she turn-around and say, “So, who’s Laughing, now, Ass?”
Sounds like you guys had a great time - now, go get some better beers than the Green Canned Monster and something a little more substantial than Yougie Poofs!
Have a great anniversary - looking forward to all the stories on your return.

(That was supposed to be, “Beat BY a little girl.” Brain fart.)
I have enjoyed your trip and admire your courage for stressing your
bodies, minds and spirits by packing so much into so little time.
What a way to celebrate your committment to each other.
Obviously you continue to make a good match. It did made me feel
a little less old to see that you were wiped out at the end.
Thanks for sharing. We look forward to seeing the pictures.
Love you both.
