This doppelbock from Binding Brauerei in Frankfurt was a mere .70 Euro at the supermarket (less than a buck!)
It was earmarked for take home in the suitcase, but Matt decided to break it open and give it a shot.
For what it’s worth, this is the tastiest .70 beer I’ve had in a LONG time. Matt says it’s smooth, with a hint of caramel. I’ll add that it has some raisin and toffee notes in the finish. Really tasty.
Sorry, Mark…I’ll see if I can get it at the train station tomorrow morning.

YOU BASTARDS - Matt gets no thank you card from me! I will especially have to kill you because you had to remark on how tasty it was. Excuse me - I must go urinate on your shrubs.
