Soy un perdedor

I should have seen the clues earlier in the week.

“Hey, seems like the Panama Canal is closing late.”

“Why is the dance performance starting so late?”

“Why is our wake up call an hour late?”

I’ll tell you why: Panama doesn’t follow daylight savings time. Painfully, we found this out only as we were checking out at *408* am. We’ve been an hour early for almost the entire vacation, and didn’t even realize it.

So we checked back in for a few minutes to have a last cup of coffee before heading out. I *think* we should be able to make our flight on time.

   That’s funny - I noticed that on Sunday when I went to check out the time difference there; I can’t believe Mr. Prepared didn’t account for that AND actually couldn’t find something with a map. You’ve ruined my dreams of growing-up and becoming you one day!

   Welcome back - looks like you’re flight gets in at 12:50 … or is that 1:50 … or 11:50 …?

   100 demerits to me for not noticing the time difference. Add this one to the Frankfurt S-Bahn debacle, and I’m going to lose my world traveler card!
