Things I Learned About Manchester In-Flight

The in-flight program that shows trivia and your location on the map had a few interesting nuggets about Manchester that seemed interesting.

To wit:

>> Manchester residents are called (anyone…anyone…) Mancunians.

>> Manchester is widely considered the first city of the Industrial Revolution.

>> The city is at 2 degrees west longitude.

Pictured here is my train ticket to Picadilly Station, which in typical British directness, is called a “cheap day single”. At £2.65 for a one-way trip, it is indeed a cheap day single,
