After our business dinner last night, we were reminded about the cruel pub laws here in the UK. Everything shuts at 11pm, so you have to be resourceful to find a place for a nightcap.
Knowing that our options were somewhat slim outside of going clubbing, we tried the next best thing: a casino.
London’s Hard Rock casino is the smallest casino I’ve seen. It’s near Picadilly Circus and requires a (free) membership card to enter. Call it cozy or intimate, it was large enough for two bars and a few table games. After locating the £5 blackjack table, I managed to get a well-poured Guinness for £3.50, and sit for a while. 30 minutes and £47 of their money later, we called it a night.
Cheerio from London!
