Darcy and I have been clomping around Bangkok all day, and are back at the Pullman for happy hour.
The spread here is impressive. The nibbles are artfully arranged and tasty (chicken satay, sushi and other Asian bits, yum). The chocolate fountain in over the top for a hotel lounge, but who doesn’t like marshmallows or strawberries freshly smothered in melty brownness?
Back to the beer. Signha is the Thai national brew, and a source of great pride. Its pale straw color gives us a clue to whether the hops or malt prevail in its flavor profile. I find the hoppy nature noticeable, but not at all agressive. The beer finishes sweetly, and is perfect for washing down these peanut satays.
