Happy Hour at The Porter Bar

Posted at 4:40 pm by Patrick under Beer Photos

Friday afternoon is here and Mark, Randy and I are hunkered down at the Porter Beer Bar for a quick flight of beers.

I’m enjoying 3 IPAs: Lenny’s RIPA, DFH 90 minute IPA, and Weyerbacher Hops Infusion. The other guys are drinking 3 Belgian ales. It’s gonna be a good one!

Happy 39th Anniversary, Mom and Dad!

Posted at 5:33 pm by Patrick under Beer Photos

Darcy and I flew to Richmond today to surprise Jack and Rose for their anniversary. What’s not surprising is how wacky my parents still are (try following them in a department store), and that we ended up at Legend Brewing for a beer.

My parents are both drinking house lagers. Darcy is having a Golden ale, and I am enjoying a chocolate porter. Seems like this is becoming a bit of a tradition, and that’s fine by me.

Here’s to a whole bunch more!

Liquid lunch at The Porter Beer Bar

Posted at 8:53 pm by Patrick under Beer Photos

After many near-miss attempts to get together for a meal, Darcy and I finally met Klemens and Diane for some Sunday brunching. First stop: Ria’s Bluebird for a short stack of blueberry pancakes and two eggs. Yummy.

We then retired to the Porter Beer Bar for an early afternoon round of tasty beers. Here Diane is working on a sampler of Delirium Tremens, while taking an iPhone photo of me taking this iPhone photo. Oh, and that’s my DFH 60 in the foreground.

Happy Birthday, dear Darcy…

Posted at 5:16 pm by Patrick under Beer Photos

We’re out for a birthday dinner at Darcy’s favorite restaurant in Atlanta — Panahar.

Besides the great menu and fantastic customer service, one of my favorite parts of the experience is that Panahar has no liquor license — it’s BYOB, baby! For our celebration, we’ve got a 750 of Allagash
Grand Cru in tow. Since I’m living in the moment, no description tonight.

Cheers!

Having a beer with my cute wife

Posted at 7:45 pm by Patrick under Beer Photos

The lighting at Brake Pad was pretty good, so I was inspired to take yet another happy hour photo of Darcy. For once, we’re both working stiffs (yeah, I took some contract work), so I appreciated the post-work drink more than I have in some time.
